The Fox Tower (formerly MGM Grand at Foxwoods), Mashantucket, CT
The Foxwood Resort Casino is a 1.2 million square foot hotel resort complex featuring hotel, entertainment and gaming venues as well as spacious meeting and convention resources. The building’s design places a dramatic emphasis on the façade of the hotel tower, intensifying the arrival experience by adding expansive views from the hotel’s rotunda and lobby and beyond, through the gardens and into the pool and spa area. The Fox Tower is comprised of a 30-story, 594,000 square foot cast-in-place concrete structure featuring 1,200 hotel rooms above a three-story, 647,000 square foot steel frame low-rise casino and entertainment facility with a 50,000 square foot casino; 125,000 square foot ballroom, exhibit and meeting facilities; 50,000 square foot, 4,000-seat multi-purpose theater; night clubs; restaurants; retail shops; and a spa with an outdoor pool terrace.
