The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, Stevensville, MD

The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, a four-story wood and steel framed inn at the base of the Chesapeake Bay bridge, integrates mass timber construction in all of its elements, including the inn with 54 boutque guest rooms and suites; the Barn, a standalone farm-style building with 18 guestrooms; five studio-style cottages; and the Chapel.  All entrances celebrated long span glu-laminated mass timber beams. The 2,000 sf chapel emphasized the clear span arches of the mass timber with the beams for stability.  The Barn highlighted rustic timbers combined with mass timber.
