Mixed Use Residential for the Museum District

The Hamilton is a 504,000 square foot mixed-use residential building on the Community College of Philadelphia’s campus near the city’s burgeoning Museum District neighborhood. The phased project is comprised of two buildings standing at 10 and 16 stories, with a total of 500 residential units, residential amenities, 3,300 square feet of ground floor retail, a community plaza/garden and underground parking.

The project will be completed in two stages. Phase 1 is a ten-story, 279-unit overbuild of an existing 1940s garage with cold formed load bearing construction and hollow core plank. A new lateral system was threaded through the existing garage. Phase II will feature the 16-story, 210-unit building with plank on steel beams and Girder-Slab system.

The Hamilton will be built on top of the site’s original foundation as well as a portion of its existing structure. The project also utilizes the existing assets to create an underground parking lot.
