Award-winning hospitality

Overlooking the Potomac River just south of Washington, DC, the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor is a complex containing over 2.5 million square feet of convention and hotel facilities, including a 2,000-room, 20-story post tensioned cast-in-place concrete hotel; a 87,000 square foot glass-roofed, glass-walled atrium framed with steel bowstring roof trusses and catenary framed walls; one million square feet of convention facilities with a 180,000 square foot exhibit space and an 800,000 sf, 2,500-car, five-level precast concrete parking structure.  The Harman Group, now IMEG provided structural engineering services for the entire project.

This project won the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers, Outstanding Project Award.
