2400 Market Street
Redevelopment for Global Growth
PMC Property Group is redeveloping the former five-story Marketplace Design Center building at 2400 Market Street, located across from University City and the 30th Street Station, and close to Rittenhouse Square and the Central Business District. The project consists of a five-story overbuild onto the existing structure to create a block-wide, 11-story mixed-use development.
The existing building is concrete slab with concrete columns. The overbuild is structural steel – slab on metal deck with steel columns and beams – with concrete shear walls going down through the existing building and up to the new roof.
The project will be comprised of 450,000 square feet of office space. Upgrades will be made to the first floor and new retail space will be created for a grocery store, restaurant and coffee shop. The facade will be multi-surfaced: the existing structure will be reskinned, and the office levels of the overbuild will have a curtainwall façade.View the Gallery Print PDF
