Kirk Harman Awarded SMPS Philadelphia’s Honoring Legends Award

On January 25th, Founder and Managing Principal Kirk Harman was awarded Society of Marketing Professionals (SMPS) Philadelphia’s Legends Award. Out of this year’s 10 nominees, Kirk was selected due to his years of service and dedication to the Philadelphia region’s A/E/C community.

The Honoring Legends Award recognizes three individuals who have excelled in their industry, particularly in the areas of marketing services, and have been active supporters of SMPS Philadelphia. As founder and managing principal of The Harman Group for the past 30+ years, Kirk leads of one of the region’s preeminent structural engineering and parking planning and design firms. He is also highly involved in the overall marketing process at The Harman Group, including the firm’s recent rebrand and thought leadership platforms.

Kirk co-founded The Harman Group in 1984 with the goal of designing structures that provide solutions, realize visions, and create better communities. His passion for his work is exemplified by his commitment to the industry, including leadership roles in several impactful organizations, including Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), Structural Engineers Association of Pennsylvania, and Fellow of the American Concrete Institute.
