Kirk Harman of The Harman Group Appointed City Leader – Philadelphia for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – President and Managing Principal of The Harman Group, D. Kirk Harman, PE, SE, SECB, FACI has been appointed City Leader for The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. He has been tasked with starting a new chapter and leading CTBUH initiatives in the City of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

As City Leader, Mr. Harman will be an active participant in the ongoing operations of the Council. He will provide direct contact with the Council for Philadelphia professionals from all disciplines and will promote the CTBUH’s mission, aims and objectives.

“As Philadelphia builds more tall buildings each year, it is timely that the Council takes this step to bring experts in this field together in the city to share technology and information across all disciplines,” says Harman, “I am excited to be a part of this effort.”

A structural engineer with 37 years of experience designing structures throughout the region and all over the world, Mr. Harman is well poised to take on this post.

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, based at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, is an international not-for-profit organization supported by architecture, engineering, planning, development and construction professionals, designed to facilitate exchanges among those involved in all aspects of the planning, design, construction and operation of tall buildings.
